Sequence profiling tool - A sequence profiling tool in bioinformatics is a type of software that presents information related to a genetic sequence, gene name, or keyword input. Such tools generally take a query such as a DNA, RNA, or protein sequence or ‘keyword’ and search one or more databases for information related to that sequence.
Keyword density - Keyword density is the percentage of words on a web page that match a specified set of keywords. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.
Overture to Candide - The Overture to Candide is the overture to Leonard Bernstein's operetta Candide. Although the operetta never achieved the mainstream popularity of West Side Story, the overture has earned a part in the orchestral repertoire.
Cable-tool drilling - A method of drilling whereby an impact tool or bit, suspended in the well from a steel cable, is dropped repeatedly on the bottom of the hole to crush the rock. The tool is usually fitted with some sort of cuttings basket to trap the cuttings along the side of the tool.
